Do you wish you had more solutions for back labor and posterior positioned babies?
Add a simple, safe and effective tool to your birth and postpartum toolkit.
Help your clients experience spontaneous labor, decrease labor pain and encourage efficient labor.
Support birth partners in getting “hands-on” with techniques that make a noticeable difference.
“In the years I have known Tanya my practice has changed considerably, every client I have
sent her way has gone into labor before their scheduled chemical induction date.” - Natasha M, Doula
This 4 hour course is encouraged by DONA and CAPPA Canada as a comforting touch measure within the scope of the Birth Doula or Post-Partum Doula scope of practice. This course is not a certification course, but an in-depth and hands-on workshop of the acupressure points relevant to labor and birth and their application.
In order to make the workshop effective and manageable, there are only 10 spots available.
Sign up early to avoid disappointment.
In Acupressure for Doulas, we will cover:
Research and evidence for the use of acupressure for
labor preparation, during labor and postpartum
Results that midwives using acupressure are seeing in their clinics
Pain management acupressure
Points to:
To make sure you get the most out of the course, we will do a lot of practical point locating. I have invited several senior acupuncture students to assist with the workshop so your questions get answered promptly and you can be sure you are finding the points accurately. We will also do role playing and using the points in different laboring positions so they come naturally to you when you are at your next birth.
You will take with you a comprehensive manual of the points learned (plus a few bonus points!) that can be easily and efficiently referenced whenever you need a refresher.
“I just want to say thank you!
I came to see you a few days before my delivery, as Kelly Maslen (my birth doula) suggested. The two acupuncture sessions I had helped me a lot. I had the natural birth I wanted and everything was just fine!” Alaxandra L, New Mother
“I found using acupressure during labour brilliant. Having used acupressure I wouldn’t even consider being in labour without it. The difference was amazing - I felt a lot calmer and able to cope and much more relaxed. It was really good for me to have my partner so closely involved with each contraction - I felt connected and supported. Acupressure helped me stay focused and calm. Acupressure is safe, effective, natural and I was in control. An ideal pain management technique.” Sarah D, New Mother
