Posterior Presentation
Moxibustion is helpful in the last few weeks of pregnancy when you have been advised that your baby is in a posterior position.
In addition, it is useful to pay attention to your posture in the final weeks of your pregnancy.
Avoid resting in a reclined position on the sofa or in the car for long periods of time as gravity will tend to move the baby into a posterior position as it’s back weighs more than it’s limbs.
Find positions where your knees are lower than your pelvis when you are sitting, such as on an exercise ball.
Spend time each day on all fours, rotating and rocking your pelvis.
Continue to walk, swim and stretch.
Call 647-428-7200 to book a Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu Therapy, Naturopathic Medicine or Meditation Guidance appointment – or to discuss which treatments might be best for you, including the care of a DONA certified birth doula.
